1971: MIG Welding with the Millermatic 35

The MIG welding process started to catch on in the 1960's because it was fast, easy and ideal for many production applications. Millermatic® wire feeders were teamed up with MIG power sources to weld everything from automated equipment for chicken ranchers to deep sea exploration labs. In 1971, Miller introduced the first power source with a built-in wire feeder, the Millermatic 35. The MM 35 was perfect for repair work on automobiles, and Miller sold thousands.
